LEAD RAFTING INSTRUCTOR:

Prospective instructors must have a strong work ethic, be able to operate unsupervised and manage operational risks. Our operation uses a combination of oar frame raft, cat rafts, paddle rafts, tandem inflatable kayaks and traditional whitewater kayaks.Experience on the Clearwater river is an asset. Proficiency rafting large volume rivers is desirable. All applicants should have the following:

  • Senior or Trip Leader Guide Licence
  • Advanced River Kayak Instructor (not required but an asset)
  • Swift Water Rescue Technician
  • Wilderness First Aid 50hr (80 preferred)
  • 3 years Whitewater Guiding¬† or kayaking experience
  • Class IV Rafting or Kayaking experience
  • Class IV Drivers Licence (not required but an asset)

APPRENTICE INSTRUCTOR:

This is a development position designed to train and develop aspiring guides and may lead to guiding position if progression is quick. Depending on your experience  you will spend your summer outside experiencing all aspects of the river operations, everything from driving shuttle, riverside photography, kayaking as well as learning the ins and outs of guiding.  Gain knowledge and experience by working along side our senior staff members. All applicants should have the following:

  • Wilderness First Aid 50hr (80hr. preferred)
  • Swift Water Rescue Technician
  • River Kayak Skills (not required but an asset)
  • Class IV Drivers License

OFFICE RECEPTIONIST

Candidates for this position will be responsible for overseeing office operations of or adventure based activities. You will work together with a team of employees as well as subcontractors over the operating season. Strong customer service skills are required as well as strong leadership skills. Being able to work efficiently on a computer and well with number is also an asset.

  • Experience with marketing
  • Experience with social media
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Class IV Drivers Licence (not required but an asset)

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Applicant will oversee all aspects of river operation, including preventative maintenance, guides training and trip development programs. You will be responsible for managing all river staff including Rafting Guides, Whitewater Kayak Instructors, Shuttle Drivers and Photographers. You will insure that all operating and industry standards are met as well as ensure all access and egress points on operational rivers are maintained and developed. You will also oversee that all OH&S legislation and regulations are being adhered to as per our risk management and Emergency Response Program. All applicants must have the following:

  • Strong technical knowledge skills
  • Senior or trip Leader Guide Licence
  • Swiftwater Rescue Technician
  • Class IV Rafting or Kayaking experience
  • Wilderness First Aid 50hr (80 preferred)
  • Minimum 4 years whitewater guiding experience
  • Advanced River Kayak Instructor
  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree
  • Class IV Drivers Licence (not required but an asset)
  • Bilingual an asset
