POSITIONS


Guest Services/Office Assistant

We are looking for people who can give exceptional guest service and be a general assistant for our busy office

Qualities: 

  • Excellent guest/customer service skills
  • Calm and engaging
  • Well organized
  • Tidy and efficient

Skills & Certifications: 

Necessary:

  • Multi-tasking
  • Prioritize workload efficiently
  • Ability to manage guests in high-volumes
  • Computer apps knowledge- Picture editing, calendar management, document editing/sharing, social media
  • Class V Drivers License

Bonus:

  • Class IV Drivers License and experience driving vans, busses, and trailers
  • Physically fit
  • Photography skills

Responsibilities: 

  • Greet guests and check them in for trips
  • Alert Guides of any issues prior to trip departure
  • Administer waivers to guests in the required manner
  • Maintain relationships with local tourism businesses and affiliates
  • Answer the phone and emails
  • Keep the office clean and stocked
  • Create and post approved social media content
  • Upsell activities, accommodations, affiliate activities, photo packages and more
  • Monitor radio channels and be prepared for emergencies
  • Cash management/record keeping
  • Other related tasks as required

 

Whitewater Rafting Guides & Instructors

Qualities: 

  • Diligent work ethic
  • Reliable to work unsupervised
  • Strong safety and risk assessment
  • Friendly and engaging

Certifications: 

  • Senior or Trip Leader Guide License
  • Swiftwater Rescue Technician
  • Wilderness First Aid min 50hr. (80hr. Preferred)
  • Class IV Drivers License
  • 3 Years+ of Whitewater Guiding Experience (Rafting or Kayaking)
  • Class IV Whitewater Kayaking or Rafting Experience

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring guests are fit for activities and understanding of risks and safety procedures; demonstrate in safety briefing
  • Driving guests to and from the river access points
  • Providing an entertaining and fun experience for guests
  • Maintain and repair gear as required
  • Be prepared for emergencies; ensure all medial and first aid supplies are accessible and properly stocked
  • Set up and take down of trip equipment
  • Preparing trip reports

Whitewater Kayaking Instructor

Qualities: 

  • Diligent work ethic
  • Reliable to work unsupervised
  • Strong safety and risk assessment
  • Friendly and engaging

Certifications: 

  • Level 2 Kayak Instructor Leader / Instructor – Canoe and Kayak Canada (or Equivalent)
  • Swiftwater Rescue Technician (SRT 1)
  • Wilderness First Aid 50hr. (80hr. Preferred)
  • Class IV Drivers License
  • 3 Years Whitewater Guiding Experience
  • Class IV Whitewater Kayaking Experience

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring guests are fit for activities and understanding of risks and safety procedures; demonstrate in safety briefing
  • Driving guests to and from the river access points
  • Providing appropriate lessons to students and meeting their needs
  • Maintain and repair gear as required
  • Be prepared for emergencies; ensure all medial and first aid supplies are accessible and properly stocked
  • Set up and take down of trip equipment

Guiding Operations Manager

We are looking for someone with proven leadership experience who can oversee the day-to-day operations and risk management of our river activities.

Qualities: 

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Strong Technical river knowledge and skills
  • Proven leadership and supervisory/management skills
  • Friendly and engaging customer service focus

Certifications: 

  • Swiftwater Rescue Technician
  • Wilderness First Aid 80hr (Preferred)
  • Class IV Drivers License
  • Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in Outdoor Education or Tourism (or relevant experience)
  • 4 Years Whitewater Guiding Experience (Rafting or Kayaking)
  • Advanced River Kayak Instructor (or relevant experience)
  • Advanced River Kayak Instructor (or relevant experience)

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage all river staff including, Rafting Guides, Whitewater Kayak Instructors, Shuttle Drivers, Photographers, and lead the Guest Services staff
  • Preventative and repair maintenance of all equipment and gear
  • Guides Training and Trip Development programs
  • Liaising with guests/clients, ensuring operating and industry standards are met
  • Ensures all access and egress points on operational rivers are maintained and developed
  • Ensures that all OH&S legislation and regulations are being adhered to as per our Risk Management and Emergency Response Program
